Defence MindedINFO:Garzilli was a right-back. Grown up at Milan, he spent most of his career at Cremonese in two spells, from 1979 to 1981 and from 1982 to 1992, for a total of 364 matches and 5 goals. He had spells also at Monteponi Iglesias, Teramo and Reggina.
Regarded as one of the best defenders in the history of Cremonese, Garzilli was a key player in the team's defence during the 1980s. Despite being short, he wasn't easy to beat thanks to his speed and surprising strength. He usually marked the wingers and secondary strikers. His abilities made him able to challenge legends like Diego Maradona, Marco van Basten, Bruno Giordano and Paolo Rossi. A very competitive player, he liked pushing forward to support the attack, showing decent dribbling and crossing abilities with both feet.
