He's the record holder as the youngest player who appeared not only in Yugoslav First League, but in national team as well. Interest was high for left winger, and as a result, he signed for Red Star whose management saw him as the successor of Dragan Džajić and a potential star. However, he couldn't cope with enormous expectations, and even though he had a good career, he never reached heights that were predicted for him. He was explosive left winger, capable of scoring goals, with good crosses and dribbles too. He was excellent freekick taker. However, he looked like he was afraid of physical contact, he often ended up on the ground, and avoided physical challenges as much as he could.
