INFO:

Abadi Al-Hathloul is a former Saudi midfielder, one of the best midfielders in the country in the 80s. He started his career as a right midfielder before being moved back into the deep lying playmaker role. There, his stylish technique and good passing helped him become an effective ball retainer and carrier. He liked to pick up the ball in deep positions and dance forward past the opposition midfield before supplying his forwards. His decent pace and engine also made him effective at getting up and down the pitch. With his calm demeanour and silky technique, he was a very elegant player. These attacking skills allowed him to play in more advanced midfield positions, and he was also good at right back. He even had a pretty good scoring record. On the other hand like most Saudi players he was quite small and not very physical, and he wasn't a natural defender although he didn't make many mistakes. With Al-Hilal he won lots of trophies and with the national team he competed in the 1984 Olympics and 1986 Asian Games, although he had a short international career with only 13 caps.
