Attack/Defence Awareness Card: Attack MindedINFO:Christos Ardizoglou is a former AEK legend and probably one of the most talented Greek footballers ever. He was a truly unstoppable dribbler, with amazing speed on both short and long distances which meant he could easily beat 3 or 4 players in a row. Instantly recognisable on the field for his long legs and socks rolled down to his ankles, he was a stylish player but a maverick. Every time he got the ball he would only try to dribble, although he had a decent scoring record and could produce some good crosses when he wanted to, his game was just all about beating whoever was in front of him. And it didn't matter the opposition, he had great performances against West Germany and Italy for example. On his best days he was a nightmare for the defenders. He usually played on the right wing but also on the left and in central positions, even in the middle he would just run straight through the opposition whenever he wanted. But he mostly played in deeper positions than usual wingers to give him more space to run into. His first touch wasn't always perfect but his dribbling wasn't just about speed, he was very technical in the tight spaces too. And because of his height and size he could resist some challenges too. He was known for his difficult personality, having constant disagreements and gaining a reputation for being "grumpy". In total he played 315 games for AEK with 62 goals, and got 43 caps with Greece scoring 2 goals and representing his country at Euro 1980.
