Vincenzi is a former centre forward. He played for many clubs throughout his career from 1973 to 1992: Milan, Monza, Vicenza, Bologna, Brescia, Pistoiese, Roma, Ascoli, Lecce, Barletta, Como and Varese. He had the chance to play several Serie A seasons but he was never a big deal. He proved, instead, to be a good striker in Serie B, especially in the period from 1979 to 1983 − when he played for Monza, Milan, Brescia and Pistoiese − scoring 31 goals in 109 matches.
Vincenzi wasn't a particularly prolific striker. When marked tight, it was difficult for him to be dangerous. When he was free from defenders, he could be effective in the box. He could use both feet, hit the ball with the head and take free kicks. His shots sometimes had good power. However, his best quality was probably the ability to score with first time shots or volleys.
