Attack MindedINFO:Sartori was a centre forward. He grew up Milan. After loans at Venezia, Udinese and Bolzano, he played 7 Serie A matches for Milan in 1978-79. Not good enough for the Italian top league, he was sold to Sampdoria in Serie B. He had two fine seasons with the
Blucerchiati − scoring 14 goals in 53 games in all competitions − and one with Cavese − scoring 6 times in 26 appearances. After a less prolific Serie B season with Arezzo, he spent a year in Serie C1 with Ternana and five with ChievoVerona in Serie D and Serie C2. He retired in 1989.
Sartori was a striker who fought in the box with determination but also generous because he tried to be helpful in every zone of the field, even defence. He was technically valid thanks to good dribbling and possession of the ball, he made a lot of movement and was especially quick in progression, he was aggressive near the goal and a great header gifted with a remarkable leap. When he joined Sampdoria, he initially was too stubborn with dribblings and the team's observer Francesco Lamberti convinced him that his main task was to score. So, he became quite prolific for a couple seasons. Througout his career, he probably played way below his abilities and that's why he didn't break through Serie A.
