INFO:Radhi was a centre forward or secondary striker. He spent most of his career at Al-Zawraa, where he played from 1981 to 1984, from 1990 to 1993, from 1997 to 1999 ─ when he retired ─ scoring a total of 126 goals in 190 matches. He had the best time of his career at Al-Rasheed from 1984 to 1990, scoring 69 times in 128 games. He helped Iraq to qualify for their first and only FIFA World Cup in 1986 and scored his team's only goal in the tournament in a 2-1 loss against Belgium. He capped 121 times for Iraq and scored 62 goals. He won the Asian Games in 1982 as well as the Arabian Gulf Cup in 1984 and 1988. He was named 1988 Asian Footballer of the Year while IFFHS included him in the Asia's Top 10 Players of the Century.
A talented striker and great goalscorer, Radhi is regarded as Iraq's best ever player alongside Hussein Saeed. He was gifted with good strength, speed, a powerful shot and was an opportunist inside the box due to his great timing. He had the ability to score from the most difficult positions with volleys, bicycle kicks, lobs but was effective also with headers, tap-in and occasionally even free kicks. He also possessed a decent distribution of the ball that he showed mainly when he was acting less advanced.
