Attack/Defence Awareness Card: Defence MindedINFO:Bent Wachmann was a long time AGF defender, playing over 400 games for the club and a strong part of their successful 80s generation. He was primarily used as a man marker on the left side of the defence in the 3-5-2 system, but could also play as a fullback on both sides. His main job was marking the dangerous opponents and using his physical presence to protect the skillful libero John Stampe, usually alongside Bjørn Kristensen in central defence. He was the most defensive and least gifted of the three defenders, but still played an important role tactically. In particular he's remembered for his good job marking Gary Lineker in AGF's 0-0 draw away at Barcelona in 1989. For these reasons he's considered a legend by AGF fans. He was also nicknamed "Angelface" because he apparently was given favourable treatment by referees because of his innocent face, never receiving a red card in his career.
