He was the club captain during the second half of the 80s and lifted one league title and two cups. Lundkvist stood out for his huge determination and running ability. He wasn't the quickest or most technically gifted but he would fight for the ball for the full 90 minutes and give the defenders a tough battle. His strength in the air also made him a dangerous target inside the box. He scored 107 goals in 348 games for AGF, and was briefly a Danish international in the early 80s, making 9 appearances (mostly off the bench in the Nordic Cup) and scoring 1 goal.
