INFO:

Neville Southall was a Welsh goalkeeper, the best in the history of Everton and his country. He's usually considered one of the best goalkeepers in British history, and one of the best in the world during his peak years. Southall was a fantastic goalkeeper, incredibly solid in every part of goalkeeping but especially good in 1-on-1 situations and close range shots. He was quick off his line, agile considering his size, and very rarely made mistakes. He was a quiet and calm character, sometimes even gave the impression that he didn't care but he was a perfectionist in training, adopting a scientific approach to goalkeeping. He was named Footballer of the Year in Everton's title winning 84/85 season and was one of the standout players of Everton's 80s Golden Age, probably even their best player. He holds Everton's appearance record with 751 games, more than 200 games ahead of 2nd place. He also won 92 caps for Wales, although he never had the chance to play in an international tournament alongside his other great teammates like Ian Rush, Mark Hughes and Everton teammate Kevin Ratcliffe.
