PALMARES:

Quote:
Luca Fusi was the most intelligent player in Italy at his time and very underrated. He played as defensive midfielder and sweeper, player of great tactical sense and intelligence, tireless and inconspicuous. Fusi was nicknamed "little man of iron" because he never gave up, too busy to do a better job on the pitch, without incurring any controversy, both on and off the field. He never tried some dangerous interventions because of the safety of the opponent, even though he was very difficult to overcome. He played just outside of his own box, doing all the "dirty" work although he could be used as "regista". But he never had some great attacking skills, scored rarely although he used to join the attacks sometimes. His primary tasks were covering and recovering the balls in midfield and defence and alhough small he wasn't weak and had soild pace. Very reliable in marking and good in tackling, with good sense of positioning and anticipating, always being the player his coaches could rely on.
