Gucaev's career began with the street football. He was invited to the command of the Lenin district to participate in the Republican tournament for the prize of the club "Leather Ball". Team became the champion of the Republic and young Vladimir was recognized as the best striker. At the USSR competition in Kharkiv guys from Georgia won the honorary third place.
