Milewski was tricky player with good pace and great instinct for goal. He could play on the wing or in the middle, was able to make also solid passes. The small forward played in the Bundesliga for Hannover 96, Hertha BSC and Hamburger SV. With the hamburgers he celebrated his greatest successes in football. He was with the HSV 1982 and 1983 German Champion and 1983 winner of the European Champions' Cup.
For the German national football team he was in 1981-1984 a total of three times used. He also played six times for the German B-team and once for the U-21 selection. His colleagues called him jokingly, "The Crystal" because Milewski suffered last time and again under a variety of injuries. At worst he was a chronic inflammation of the Achilles tendon to create, which ensured that his regular seat was lost and he was transferred in 1985 to France. There he played until 1986 with AS Saint-Étienne and came up with five league appearances and scored two goals. In addition, he was in a meeting of the B-team of the club in action. At the end of the season he returned, having already injured from March 1986 failed, struck back and free transfer to Germany. There he played among others in the 1988/89 season with the amateurs in the Union League of Hamburg and then ended his active career. His entry into the profession of players consultant Milewski was still in his playing days in St. Etienne, and his first customer, was Milewski himself, saw through the game from St. Etienne to induce him by small-bullying actions at his own initiative to request the release of his current contract. He returned with a clever move by the situation to his advantage by making the best friend of the president, a prominent real estate brokers, under the pretext of settling permanently in St. Etienne, was responsible for finding a house. The president was expected to receive this information and wanted to turn prevent Milewski "is serving" his time in St. Etienne. He therefore offered him a termination agreement with a handsome sum. The coup was successful, as Milewski now not only financially benefited, but also was also a free transfer. After several years of independence, he is now employed by the U.S. marketer IMG. His clients include players Salihamidžić Hasan, Aaron Hunt, Gerald Asamoah, Francisco Copado, Robert Kovac, Niko Kovač, Stefan Wessels and Alexander Meier. He also oversaw the now no longer active Jens Jeremies, Sven Kmetsch, Jörg Böhme, Karsten Bäron and Bernd Hollerbach. Currently he is responsible for 21 players (including ex-professional, amateur and youth players). In 2004 the Hamburg state attorney Milewski and the players Jens Jeremies, Hasan Salihamidžić, Thomas Linke and Jorg Albertz for illegal insider trading. In December 2003, named in several tranches bought shares in the company SinnerSchrader before the course gave after announcing a special dividend was soaring and buyers gains of around 80%. The fell on the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, which then turned on the prosecutor's office. In 2005, the investigations against Milewski against a money circulation were recruited from 7000 €.
