INFOPlamen Nikolov - Patso (born 24 June 1957 in Pleven) is a former Bulgarian football defender. He was right back, very brave and impulsive. As a right-back, Plamen was a true fighter with an uncompromising character. Uncompromising with opposing attackers who feared him. Entered bravely and selflessly in the matches and neutralized the most dangerous players of the opponent. But he also joined the attack often and sent good crossed, even from free kicks near the corner. Born on June 24, 1957 in Pleven. One of the favorite players of supporters of Levski in the 80's, of the last century. Played for Spartak (Pleven) and Levski (in 387 games). Played in the ill-fated match between Levski and CSKA in 1985 after which he was punished and by that his transfer to Porto broke down. Champion of Bulgaria in 1979, 1984, 1985 and 1988, Cup winner in 1979, 1982, 1984 and 1991. Nikolov appeared in 55 matches for the national team. Footballer № 1 in Bulgaria in 1984. He was assistant coach of Levski, coach of Spartak (Pleven), Olympic (Teteven), Botev (Vratsa). Since 2001 he is president of his home club - Spartak (Pleven). He was a successful player in the Swedish top division when playing for [IK Brage]. Between the seasons in Sweden (where they play spring-fall) he was on loan to Antwerpen and Vitosha Levski.
