INFOBorislav Biserov Mihaylov (born 12 February 1963) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer, who played as a goalkeeper, and Former President of the Bulgarian Football Union. Keeper with good reflexes and positioning, he was long time NT captain. He played for teams like Belenenses, in Portugal, and Mulhouse, in France. In 1995 he joined the then-English First Division team Reading for a then club record £800,000, replacing the departed club favourite Shaka Hislop. After retiring from active sports he started a career in football administration. He was vice-president of the Bulgarian Football Union from 2001 until 2005, when he replaced Ivan Slavkov as president. In 1998 he married Maria Petrova, a former prominent rhythmic gymnast. Mikhailov is also the father of ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Nikolay Mikhailov, who is currently at Dutch side FC Twente. Champion of the country in 1984, 1985 and 1988 Cup winner in 1982, 1984 and 1986 in the A group has 214 games. The team of Levski played 34 games for the national cup and European tournaments in 18 games (6 for the Cup, 7 to 5 for SSC and UEFA). After the Cup final in 1985 between CSKA and Levski is among the punished with exclusion from football, but was rehabilitated after six months. There are 102 matches for the national team, of which 60 as captain (both achievements were a record for Bulgaria). Debut on May 4, 1983 against Cuba in Sofia (3:2), the last match of June 5, 1998 against Algeria (2:0) in Sofia. His game is № 100 of November 6, 1996 against Saudi Arabia 0:1 as a guest. Participates in the World Cup in 1986 in Mexico (second round, playing 4 games), bronze medalist at the World Championships in 1994 in the U.S.A. (in 7 games) and the European Championship in 1996 in England (in 3 games ). Participated in the match Europe - Africa (4:0) in 2001 in Bari. B. Mikhailov is the most successful goalie in the history of Bulgarian football. Elected Footballer № 1 in Bulgaria in 1986.
