Plamen Tsvetanov Getov (born 4 March 1959) is a Bulgarian retired footballer who played as either an attacking midfielder or a striker. He was fantastic free kick taker, in 1993 he was league's top scorer with 26 goals from which 10 were free kicks. Player with good shot from all angles and distances. He could send also great long passes, technically gifted player with good acceleration. He played as a striker for Spartak (Varna), Beloslav Spartak (Pleven), CSKA Portimonense (Portugal), Ether (Veliko Turnovo), Levski (Sofia), Shumen, Black Sea and Shavesh (Portugal). Champion of Bulgaria with Levski in 1993, played in the autumn of 1988/89 championship season on CSKA. Declared the best and most technically player in season 1992/1993, in "A" group has 286 matches and 165 goals (108 for Spartak (Pleven), 26 for the club, 20 of Shumen, 8 for CSKA 2 Ether and 1 Spartak (Varna)). Flawless implementation of free-kicks from all distances. Scorer of the tournament in 1985 (26 goals for Spartak Pleven) and 1993 (26 goals for the club). In European tournaments played 8 games and scored 2 goals (2 games in Ether Cup, 4 games and 1 goal for CSKA (when "Reds" reached the semifinals) and 2 games and 1 goal for Levski in SSC and 2 games in the tournament for Shumen Uefa Cup). For the national team he collected 26 games and scored 4 goals. Getov took part on World Cup 1986 in Mexico, where he played 4 matches and scored a goal in the match with South Korea, drew 1:1.
