Carnevale was centre forward with excellent defensive contribution, certainly one of the best I've ever seen in that segment. Besides he had fantastic heading abilities and impressive leap. By the way, his greatest quality was the header but the constant desire to improve technically, his workrate in the field almost making him a defender, have partially changed the label of player "good only with the head." So he improved a lot technically, especially adding some feints to his repertoire. He was strong physically and fast, had good shot even from distance and tireless runner, pressuring the opponents constantly in midfield. Humble and above all simple, fighter but not prolific scorer rather teamworker.
