IMO the best ever Italian defensive midfielder and certainly on the worldwide scale ranked very high. He was actually right winger but already at Inter has been transformed to central midfielder but his attacking skills from Perugia days maintained at his repertoire. Although he was famous for his fighting spirit, Bagni was excellent dribbbler. Once against Milan he run with the bell 70 meters, dribbled past couple of defenders and scored. Besides he was fantastic tackler. In general he was complete midfielder. Very combative and tireless, good in heading and marking, strong physically and gifted technically, with powerful and precise shot, could score from free kicks, penalties but also overhead kicks. Player who could destroy the opposition attacks and than immediately start the actions with good passes and build-up play. Although in Napoli he wasn't too fast, but neither too slow, very well positioned and sometimes even played in defence. He scored more than 50 gosls in Serie A, quite remarkable for defensive midfielder. He was midfield general and certainly one of the key points in great Napoli team, showing great contribution in defensive and offensive play.
