Emidio Oddi is a former right back. His career began in 1976 at Sulmona. He then played for Fermana and Anconitana. He joined Hellas Verona in 1979, making 145 appearances in four seasons, scoring 5 goals. He eventually had his best time at Roma, playing 207 matches from 1983 to 1989, scoring 4 times. He retired in 1992 after three seasons at Udinese. Well considered as an emblematic player by Roma supporters, Oddi possessed great stamina and he made himself appreciated also for his technical qualities. In the defence he was good at covering his side, anticipating his opponents and fight in short spaces. In the attack he showed speed, dribbling, fine shooting and crossing abilities but he mostly supported the offense by opening the space for his teammates.
