INFOS:Outes, a fast and scorer N°9, was acquired by Boca in 1980 after his successful five-years spell with Independente. That Rattin's Boca was a struggling team but Beto managed to bring some fresh air that soon gave hope again to the Hinchas.
He officially debuted on September 14 at the beginning of the 1980 Torneo National. It was a 2-0 win against Unión at home, and he started by beating Nery Pumpido with a diving header...he was imediately adopted by the fans. The following Sunday he punished River in Núñez. Despite contestations that he entered the box controlling the ball with his hand, Outes did not hesitate a second and crucified Ubaldo Fillol with a shot high to the angle. Golazo.
This good start at the end of 1980 soon turned in less enthusiastic performances in 1981. First, the team acquired various rising stars and/or confirmed players. The thing is that if you have Maradona, Brindisi, Escudero, Morete and Gareca in the forward line of your team, there's a good probability that you start to watch games from the bench instead of playing with them on the field. Although suffering from fierce competition and disapointing at times, Outes did his part of the job when called like the evening where he scored a crucial goal in the '81 Metropolitano against San Lorenzo.
But luck did not help him either. He was hit by a hepatitis at the end of march 1981. The illness would mean the end of his Boca time. He only played 16 official games and had 4 goals. A waste considering the talent he had.
His career, which began under the sign of red with Independiente in 1975, followed its successful course in 1982 by Aztec lands, in Mexico: in Club América first and later in Club Necaxa. In the mid eighties, he returned home to end with Vélez Sársfield.
