Jorge Quiróz emerged from the Boca youth system. He was added to the first team by "Toto" Lorenzo and made his debut in the '78 Metropolitano Championship. He was a honest defensive midfielder, who compensated his average technique by his physical strenght and a tireless activity in the field. He was the starter N°5 in the first games of the '81 Metropolitano but soon get used to the bench when Marzolini brought Ariel Krasouski in the team. During his five years in Boca, he managed to play only 25 games and scored no goal. He eventually won the '81 Metropolitano title before leaving the club. He pursued his carreer in clubs like Temperley, Sarmiento, Tigre, All Boys, Almirante Brown and Olympique de Marseille. After his retirement he became a football coordinator in France.
