INFO:Ivan Hašek is a former Czech footballer, most famous for his time at Sparta Prague and also with the Czechoslovakian national team whom he captained at the 1990 World Cup. Hašek was a versatile player who mostly played on the right side in midfield or defence but could also play in the centre of midfield in attacking or more balanced roles. He was a hard working player who covered a lot of ground, and especially liked to get into the box where he used his excellent aerial abilities (despite his lack of height) to score an outstanding number of goals for a midfielder. He wasn't exceptionally technically or physically gifted but rather an intelligent player who was a solid addition to any team, something similar in playing style to José Mari Bakero. He appeared in more than 300 games for Sparta and 55 times for Czechoslovakia, and also had successful, high scoring periods with Strasbourg in France and Sanfrecce Hiroshima in Japan.
