Attack MindedINFO:Alan Brazil was a striker, who could play in all attacking positions but his main one was centre forward. He had his best time at Ipswich Town, where he scored 80 goals in 210 matches from 1976 to 1983. After leaving Ipswich Town, he didn't reach the same heights in any other club, including Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Coventry City and Queens Park Rangers. He capped 13 times for Scotland, scoring once, between 1980 and 1983. He retired in 1990.
Brazil was a prolific scorer with good finishing prowess in his first seasons at Ipswich Town. He was one of the most exciting player of the team in the first half of the 1980s, gifted with great pace − especially with the ball at his feet −, very good reaction, fantastic ball control, sharp turns and good dribbling. He used to play near the shoulder of the last defender, beating him with the speed and then going 1-on-1 with the goalkeeper. He was also a good passer and was accurate with both right and left foot.
