INFO:
Sène is a former attacking midfielder, centre forward and winger who played as sweeper in his later years. His career started in 1977 at Gorée in his native Senegal. He transferred to France in 1981, signing for Stade Lavallois where he played until 1985, making 127 appearances and scoring 20 goals. He then played for Paris Saint-Germain from 1985 to 1992, scoring 18 goals in 200 matches. He made a brief return to football in 1995, spending a season with Brétigny. A Senegal international from 1982 to 1992, some sources report that he represented his country at least 30 times.
An exciting attacking player who used his excellent dribbling skills to challenge one or more defenders, even though he wasn't particularly fast on the ball and his ball control wasn't always optimal, Sène could also be an unselfish player as he possessed notable passing abilities and supported his team's defense by recovering the ball in his own half from time to time. Sène set up many attacks with his passes forward. Once the ball had arrived to a teammate, he would move to the flank in case he could get the ball back or he would wait for a cross inside the box. He wasn't the most refined finisher, which is proven by a fairly small number of goals for a man who played as centre-forward numerous times. However, he could rely on good shot technique and heading ability, the latter helped by a remarkable jump.
