INFO:De Vecchi is a former defensive midfielder. Raised at Milan, he earned the club's trust after spells at Varese in 1974-75 and Monza from 1975 to 1978. He then made 112 appearances for the
Rossoneri from 1978 to 1981, scoring 11 goals. He had good seasons also at Ascoli from 1981 to 1984, playing 84 games and scoring 11 goals. After shorts experiences at Napoli and Bologna, he spent six seasons as sweeper at Reggiana, playing 184 games and scoring 7 times. He retired in 1992.
De Vecchi was a skilled midfielder, capable of delivering good geometric passes. As he wasn't a technical genius, he relied in his determination. In fact, he was a hardworking player who always did the best he could for the team. He possessed decent speed and technique other than being a good tackler in the defence. However, he mainly contributed in the attack as one of his trademarks was the low shot within 16 metres that allowed him to score in many occasions. Moreover, he was a very good free kick and penalty taker.
