Attack/Defence Awareness Card:
BalancedINFO:Tagliaferri was a center or defensive midfielder who spent most of his career at Avellino, playing 124 matches and scoring 8 goals from 1981 to 1985, being also the team captain. He's considered one of the best ever players in the history of the
Irpini. He played also for Livorno, Bologna, Spal, Udinese, Taranto and Pontedera where he retired in 1991.
Tagliaferri was a consistent and talented left-footed player, gifted with great determination and iron lungs. He had also good feet and general skill as well as great leadership and personality. He was a key player especially when his team was having a bad moment during the match. He was efficient if not spectacular, even though he didn't look bad when he stopped the ball or occasionally dribbled an opponent. He wasn't effective only in the middle of the field, helping the defence, but also when joining the attack, either delivering a pass, shooting on goal or hitting the ball with a header. He could deliver shots with good power and could use well first time touches.
