Fulvio Bonomi was a right-side midfielder who could play also as attacking midfielder. He spent the majority of his career at Cremonese, playing 181 matches and scoring 16 goals in three spells: in 1978-79, from 1981 to 1985, in 1989-90. He also had good spells at Atalanta, Ascoli, Sampdoria. After two seasons at Messina, two at Arezzo and one at Virtus Entella, he retired in 1994.
One of Cremonese's key players during the 1980s, Bonomi was dangerous during attacking progressions thanks to his speed and ball control. He had a good crossing ability, used well both feet, was an able free kick and penalty taker but could also score beautiful goals with volleys or long rangers. He usually preferred to shoot with accuracy rather than power but he could deliver great strikes when he wanted to.
