Steve Hodge is a former English midfielder who most notably played for Nottingham Forest. He had two spells with the team during which he won two League Cups. He played as a central or side midfielder (in his younger days he played more on the side, on the other hand when he was older he moved in the middle). He was fast player, and he was known for his great runs from the midfield and getting in position to score or assist. He possessed good passing ability, both for long and short ones. Although he wasn't too good in defensive duties, he didn't avoid them. He was good with the ball in his feet, and he was able to beat the defenders when running with the ball. He played for England NT in 24 games. He was called up for 1990 World Cup, but because of injury, he didn't get the chance to shine at the big scene.
