He was the starting goalkeeper throughout the whole of the 70s including arguably the club's golden age of the late 70s. Al-Turki was a small goalkeeper but had toughness of body and mind. He was very quick to react on close range shots and was overall reliable and calm. Despite being often the shortest player in the box he could defend his goal from crosses pretty well. Like fellow legendary Al-Nassr goalkeeper Salem Marwan, he was involved in a traffic accident after his retirement, but unlike Marwan he was unfortunately killed at the age of only 38. He won 15 trophies with Al-Nassr and 14 caps for the Saudi national team.
