Hibbitt was a playmaker. He's a Wolverhampton legend who played 574 matches and scored 114 goals for the club from 1968 to 1984. He played also Bradford Park Avenue, Seattle Sounders, Coventry City and Bristol Rovers. He retired in 1988.
Hibbitt was a creative player gifted with great tenacity, decent speed, passing ability, good technique and dribbling. He didn't only provide goals but he was also a very good scorer and a penalty specialist. He proved that he could be effective with first touches, volleys, long range shots, occasionally even headers, was accurate with both feet and as well the outside of the foot.
