BalancedINFO:Morini was a midfielder or defender. Grown up at Inter, he played for Varese from 1968 to 1972, appearing 109 times and scoring 7 goals. Then he had a very good four-year spell at Roma, playing 128 matches and scoring 8 goals. In 1976 he joined Milan where he stayed for five seasons, winning the 1978-79 Serie A but being a reserve for most of the time he spent with the
Rossoneri. He played also for Pro Patria, Chiasso and retired in 1984. He won 3 caps for Italy in 1975.
A very versatile player, Morini was mostly a defensive midfielder or, when used on the flank, a wing-back or side midfielder. He also could play in defence in all positions. Quick, dinamic and gifted with high determination, he liked to push forward and support the attack with short passes or deliver slow but accurate long balls from the back. It wasn't rare that he took free kicks in order to create goal actions. Due to his playstyle, he wasn't very effective when the game was slow. Stubborn, tenacious and always prepared to anticipate the opponent, when defending he was a tight marker and hard tackler, most of the times too aggressive and prone to committ fauls. He was always ready to cover the space when the side-back ran to the attack. He preferred the strength over the technique, which still was decent. He wasn't a great shooter, often delivering weak and unaccurate shots. However he occasionally proved that he could be dangerous from long range. He mostly scored from inside the box, occasionally with headers or penalties.
