INFO:
Cerilli was a midfielder or forward who played on the side, mainly the right. He spent the majority of his career at Vicenza: 125 league matches and 8 goals in two spells, from 1976 to 1979, between 1984 to 1986, when he retired. He played also for Chioggia Sottomarina, Massese, Inter (where he played before joining Lanerossi but for some reason the Nerazzurri didn't believe in him), Monza, Pescara and Padova.
Cerilli was left-footed and a good passer, either with short or long balls. He was a playmaker from the side and his very accurate crosses led to many goals for his team, while his short pass openings to the side − when he was moving in the center − had good speed. He was one of Vicenza's main free kick and corner takers. He often moved from the flank to a more central position, was gifted with a powerful shot and, despite not being a prolific scorer, he liked to go inside the box and put himself in a favorable position to shoot. His versatility on both flanks was very helpful when he was tightly marked from his original opposing side-back.
