Momčilo Vukotić was the most capped player in the history of the club for a long time until Saša Ilić surpassed him. He joined Partizan after the club's greatest generation was sold out. He stood with the club during hard, unsuccessful times and was there when the club raised to be the champion again. He played mostly as an attacking midfielder with fantastic dribbling ability, his ball controlling skills in combination with his quick footwork were handful for any defender. He was a great scorer, and known for scoring a lot of decisive goals. When the team was down, he was the one who took the responsibility on the pitch and with his skill tried to turn things round. Despite his height, he was excellent in aerial game. He wasn't tough, and not particularly fast, but he was magician on the pitch. Even though he was offensive midfielder, he didn't possess some extraordinary playmaking skills. He was able to deliver fine decisive pass, even with his backheel, but those were short range passes mostly. He rarely used long passes in his game. Partizan did have better players in it's history, but for the most Partizan fans, he's and he'll always be number one.
