Dalanović was a skilled goalkeeper and a legend of NK Olimpija, being with the club for a decade when he moved from FK Bor. He was very reliable goalkeeper who was always on form. Excellent at saving penalties, but also at scoring too. He possessed hard shot and could kick the ball long into opposition half. Along with great reflexes, he possessed incredible leap which allowed him to perform acrobatic saves, which were attractive for the crowd. He was always motivated to perform well against strongest opponents. Even though his quality was unquestionable, he was never capped for the national team.
