Graham was a quick and direct winger, capable of playing on both sides but mainly playing as an inverted winger on the left. Graham was an attacking winger, capable of both scoring and creating goals but his main focus was on getting inside the box and scoring. While he wasn't incredibly prolific, his movement, dynamic performances and his ability to switch sides throughout the game made him a menace to defend against. He wasn't too fast over long distances but with a quick burst of speed and nice footwork he was hard to catch. Graham was also known for having a good work rate and fighting spirit. For Aberdeen he played 297 games with 46 goals and for Leeds he played 260 games with 47 goals. He was also a Scotland international and scored 2 goals in 11 games for his country.
