INFO:Nikolay Abramov was a favourite of Spartak fans in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The defender did not have a very bright career, but for 7 years in the Moscow club he is still remembered for his incredible dedication in defence and sincere love for his work. As a central defender, he not only made good tackles, had an outsanding reading of the game, but also mastered the art of the first pass to perfection and sent the ball quickly and at any distance, exactly on the move. In 1969, in the very first season for Spartak Moscow, he became the champion of the USSR. In 1970, he took part in two European Cup games against Basel. In 1971, together with the team, he won the USSR Cup. In total, in the period from 1969 to 1976, he played 181 matches for Spartak in all tournaments and scored 1 goal, was one of the leaders of the "red-white".
He played 3 matches for the main USSR national team (against Yugoslavia and Germany in 1972 and against Argentina in 1976) and one more for the Olympic team. He was in the main team in the application for Euro 1972, but did not enter the field.
