He was extremely combative player, tireless runner, he always participated in organization of attacking actions. He attracted opponents to himself, making space for his teammates to exploit. He was good technician, able to keep the ball to his feet until his teammate shows up. His combative nature and his way of play caused some serious injuries. Among all those qualities, one stood out - his aerial play. He's perhaps the best ever Yugoslav forward in aerial game with amazing heading ability and extraordinary leap.
