Updated. Probably the best attacking fullback Scotland has produced. Super consistent, quick, good technique, good scoring record for a fullback (even if you take out the 30 penalties he scored for Rangers, he still has 54 more), very fit and tenacious, effective when overlapping but rarely caught out defensively, although he mainly focused on attacking. Overall one of the best right backs in the world in the 70s. Even McGrain who was arguably the best right back in the world at the time was moved to the left side so Scotland could fit both him and Jardine in the team at the same time.
