One of the greatest ever Bayern players. Rainer was complete player, in his youth he was regional champion in 100 meters and Long Jump. He was technically gifted player, fast with good scoring capacities, decent passing, good shot and dribbling. Began with nine years as a talented athlete (he northern Baden youth champion in the sprint Rainer Ohlhauser in his home club 1 FC Dilsberg in football in North Heidelberg circle of Baden in the youth department with the football game. Through its distinct speed and eye for goal he made early in the first Northern Amateur League Baden gambling SV Sandhausen attention to himself and played there from 1958 to 1961 in Hardtwaldstadion. After winning the North Baden Cup - why Ohlhauser had contributed 29 goals - and the games in the ascent to the second round Southern League against FC Hanau 93, SC Schwenningen and TSV 1860 Munich amateurs in the season 1960/61 were presented to the striker talent several offers from the area south of the former league. He decided on the offer of FC Bayern Munich and in the summer of 1961 in the Bavarian state capital. Right away he was the top scorer of Bayern and coped with the increased load on the Oberliga Süd without teething problems. Playing alongside Willi Giesemann, Peter Grosser and Werner Olk, he delivered in his first season 1961/62 in 26 missions from 23 goals. Thus, the FC Bayern Munich landed at the 3rd Standings. In the second season, 1962-63, he was with 24 hits one of the guarantors of the new third Ranges of FC Bayern Munich. Since the local rivals TSV 1860 Munich coach Max Merkel winning the title in this final round of league-era succeeded, the "lion" in order for the new football league from 1963/64 qualified, had the FC Bayern Munich in the 1963-64 season unsubscribe in the second division of the Southern Regional Association of his games. Rainer Ohlhauser and his teammates should this "playing-" prove a godsend. On the one hand, pulled the new Premier League and TSV 1860 Munich with Angela Merkel and his coach Petar Radenkovic Star public attention and expectation, but also could significantly stress on themselves and the FC Bayern working in relative peace in a manageable environment. This came through from the first FC Köln have come new coach Zlatko Čajkovski a rousing enthusiasm in the team. Even the serious training operation was marked by joy at Čajkovski football game, fun, humor and good mood in the team. For the talents Sepp Maier, Dieter Brenninger Rudolf Nafziger, Dieter Koulmann, Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller and Rainer Ohlhauser development opportunities in the regional league were very good. They had enough sense of achievement to be able to build self confidence, developed their own game, which was focused on winning and was not to anxious to prevent the opponent's game. Rainer Ohlhauser was in the two rounds in the regional or more of the scorer of Bayern Munich as before in the league. In 71 games he scored 75 goals. His 42 goals in the 1964/65 round of promotion made him the top scorer in the Regional league record and were in all seasons Regional this season - and does so in the "Season South" until today. Even with his seven goals in the 1965 Play-off against Alemannia Aachen, 1st FC Saarbrücken and Tennis Borussia Berlin, he led the scorers before Jupp Heynckes and Gerd Muller.

In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich collected from the 1965/66 season title in the series. Ohlhauser and colleagues won the DFB Cup three times in the years 1966, 1967 and 1969 and 1969 also celebrated the double by winning the German Football Championship. At 31 May 1967 in Nuremberg, but the association was already successful in the European Cup Winners' Cup against Rangers with a 1-0 succeeded in extra time. During 1968/69 championship winning coach led but Branko Zebec as directed and brought in particular Gerd Muller and physically in good shape so intrusive that Rainer Ohlhauser now from midfield into the Bayern game. From 1965-70, he brought it to 160 league games and 64 goals. Overall, he is out in the statistics of FC Bayern Munich with 331 games and 208 goals. After nine years he left Bavaria in 1970 and moved to Switzerland with Grasshoppers Zurich. Even with the Confederates, he was successful as a player. 1971 he was with GC champions, handed it to the 1973 and 1974 runner-up. In the following two stations FC and VfB Friedrichshafen Emmenbrücke he connected the player-coach with the function and acted from 1976 to 1980 as player-coach. With the Bundesliga, he had nothing further to 1980-82 by the task of the junior or assistant coach at Hamburger SV and Borussia Dortmund. As the successor of Helmut Benthaus he took over as coach of the 1983 round at FC Basel. To his success as a coach than a player, he could not connect. As part of trip to South America in December 1968 with internationals against Brazil, Chile and Mexico, he played on 18 December in Santiago de Chile Chile against his one-time use in the national team. The game was lost with 1:2 goals. Its only one appointment to the DFB-team coach Helmut Schoen can only be reproduced if one takes into account the large number of high profile candidates in the 1965-70 era of the national team for the attacking midfielder and the storm. In midfield, the oversupply of Franz Beckenbauer, Helmut Haller, Herbert Laumen, Günter Netzer, Wolfgang Overath, Lothar Ulsaß and Herbert Wimmer was present. For the storm Dörfel Bernd Jürgen Grabowski, Siegfried Held, Horst Köppel, Reinhard Libuda, John Loehr, Gerd Muller, Uwe Seeler and Georg Volkert came into question. Helmut Schön had basically the problem of the "agony of choice," because it was good that there were also rounder, not via the club coaches and journalists weighted their claim to the DFB-team logs in and their role in the club team were satisfied.
