Gerrie Mühren (born 2 February 1946 in Volendam Noord-Holland) is a former Dutch international footballer. He started his career at FC Volendam, before moving to play for Ajax between 1968 and 1976. Whilst at Ajax he won three European Cup winners medals. While Johan Cruijff and Piet Keizer questioned who the best footballer of the country, stood behind them in midfield, someone who still is considered the Ajax technique with the coolest of all time: Gerrie Mühren. The oldest of the gebroeder Mühren had on the square behind the family home in an appealing technique Volendam own. In 1968, the Volendam Ajax met, this otherwise under protest from his fellow villagers who prefer to play Dijk saw. The skepticism towards Ajax Gerrie had disappeared when the inhabitants of the fishing village of maps provided for the European Cup final. And all that in his first season. In that first season had not yet Mühren basis. That could change next year when he Bennie Muller ousted from the starting grid. His technical feats he had to coach Rinus Michels omit, though he sometimes still go here. World famous piece is his upholding of the match against Real Madrid. 1969 was also the year that Gerry was the first Mühren Volendam in the Dutch national team played. The adventure began abroad for Gerry in 1976 when he moved to Betis Sevilla and later returned to Seiko Hong Kong. After his career as a footballer is Mühren, like his brother Arnold at Ajax, occupied with guiding the youth. After that time, Arnold became youth coach at Ajax and Gerrie joined the scouting staff.
