Not fast but he could accelerate with the ball and make some feints. Anders was recruited to Öster from Helsingborg and quickly became a big crowd favorite. A technician with a good passing game and the ability to do the unexpected. Linderoth won the Golden Ball in 1976, and in the same year also scored his first national team goal when Sweden met Finland. In 1977 Öster won the final in the Swedish Cup. They met Hammarby and won 1-0 - scorer Anders Linderoth. When Olympique Marseille got in touch, they partly wanted to buy Anders Linderoth, but also wanted Öster's recipe for success. Linderoth became Öster's fifth professional sale. Returned after three years in France to Sweden, but chose Mjällby before Öster. A severe knee injury caused him to give up his active career in 1981 to focus on the coaching role instead.
