INFO:

Erwin Kremers was one of the best German wingers, as well as one of the most skilled and talented. He played mostly on the left side, his main weapons were his speed, dribbling and tricks. His twin Helmut Kremers also played as a German international with the two brothers playing with each other regularly. Erwin began his football career as a youth player, along with his brother, at Borussia Mönchengladbach before eventually going on to make over 20 appearances for the first team in the Fußball-Bundesliga. After two years at the club he (and his brother) moved on to Kickers Offenbach where he had an impressive strike record with 10 goals in just 25 starts. In the summer on 1971 he and Helmut both moved to FC Schalke 04 and it was in the following year that he got his call up to the German national team. Erwin went on to play 15 times for his country, playing in the winning 1972 UEFA European Football Championship team and he scored a total of 3 goals. Erwin lost hiss secure World Cup 1974 ticket by a red card in the the last Bundesliga match . "Shut up, you stupid bitch!" he had insulted the referee and repeated it several times to demand: "Last time I launched it with the remark" For Dork :..." Erwin had been at least 1972 in the European Champion team as the best German team of all time.

"The best left winger in world" - Ivica Horvat
