Saad Al-Johar was an Al-Nassr legend, he captained the club to many titles in the late 60s and early 70s. He was recognised for his leadership on the pitch and especially for his many goals from headers, leading to the nickname "Golden Skull". He could play in defence or midfield and was respected for his technical ability and clean defending, never receiving a card throughout his career. Unfortunately he struggled with injuries later in his career that led to him retiring at the age of only 28. Upon his retirement, he passed the captain's armband to his younger brother and fellow Al-Nassr legend, Nasser Al-Johar.
