INFO:

Dževad Šećerbegović was a Bosnian left winger. Born in Gornji Rahić, Brčko, Šećerbegović spent most of his football career playing for local side FK Sloboda Tuzla. At the end of his career, he moved to Turkey and signed with Beşiktaş J.K. for two seasons.

One of the greatest talents in former Yugoslavia, he was well known for his fantastic speed (fastest in army, there's a story that he could sprint at 10.90), great cross and dribbling. He had great leap off the ground but was scared of aerial duels. His crossing was so good, that many people thought that he surpassed his idol, Dragan Dzajic, in that segment. He didn't like to shoot, always concentrated on pass.

He lived unsporting football life, smoker, alcoholic, nightlife lover. Very fast player, run 100 meters in 10,60 seconds, gifted technically but wasn't very endurable. Good dribbler and crosser, dribbling in full speed but timorous.

Šećerbegović made nine appearances for the Yugoslavia national football team. He also played for the Yugoslavia squad that finished fourth at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow.
