INFO:
Benetti is a former central or defensive midfielder. He spent the majority of his career at Juventus from 1976 to 1979 plus the 1968-69 season and Milan from 1970 to 1976, making respectively 159 and 251 appearances, scoring 23 and 49 goals. He played also for Siena, Taranto, Palermo, Sampdoria and Roma, where he retired in 1981. He was called up for Italy 55 times, scoring twice.
Benetti was a complete midfielder, tough, tenacious and fearless. He tackled and was tackled but thanks to his strong temperament, he gave more than he received. Although, he was fair as he never got sent off. Nicknamed "Killer" and "Maultier" by journalists, he sometimes couldn't control his vehemence, tackling roughly and injuring his opponent. He was named the fourth hardest ever footballer by "The Sun" and was included in the top 20 by "Daily Mail". His performances were constantly on high level. He was dynamic and competitive, gifted with great strength, oustanding stamina, determination and aggressiveness that allowed him to win most physical challenges. He had leadership qualities, remarkable technique and dribbling, accuracy on both feet, superb tactical awareness and good vision. So, he could handle plenty of balls and rapidly set up the offense, leaving the defence head-on while keeping the ball before passing it or running even further and deliver a cross. Despite being a predominantly defensive minded player, very capable of covering the space in front of the defence, he was a threat on the attack, especially with powerful long range shots either with the inside or outside. He was also a good free kick and penalty taker.

In his first years he played as SS, I don't know if you want to add..
Anyway, I'd increase STA in red zone..
DEF maybe point higher and ATT point lower..
AGI +1
ST higher, also for his goal vs Fiorentina 1976-1977, best goal of the season.. maybe also in yellow zone..
I'd also increase a bit TMW and add *Centre and Box to Box or Anchor Man in Cards..
I'm not sure in passing stats, was him so good in long passes? I think I'd give him more LPS than LPA but I really don't know..

Well I've watched on tueasday few Milan tapes and I must say he wasn't destroyer like many sources describe him..

He was technically gifted player, not genius but still superior to players like Hamann for example in terms of TEC & DA. And his short passing was very good, certainly worth 85-86 value. And he had good pace...

I think he needs higher ATT than DEF so I'm not sure with that suggestion...

I'd like to see your thoughts about DS and AGI. As always those 2 abilities are nightmare for me to rate, especially AGI..

I remember quite well a match of Italy in which he surprised me about his good work with the ball, he was quite fast with the ball, so I think both AGI and DS could go up by 2 points..

About ATT and DEF, personally I'd give him the same values for ATT and DEF, something like 78/78.. Anyway I think you can choose the right values here, because it's a long time I don't watch a full game of Benetti..

Yes Benetti was one of the most complete midfielders of all times in Italy, not only for his defensive duties like Gattuso..
Maybe you can increase also TEC by 1 point..
