INFO:
Frustalupi was a central and attacking midfielder. His career began in 1961 at Empoli on loan from Sampdoria. He then made 215 appearances for the Blucerchiati from 1962 to 1970, scoring 23 goals. After 58 matches and 4 goals for Inter between 1970 and 1972, he joined Lazio. Lazio's supporters weren't happy of the transfer due to his age. However, after some struggling, he became a key players for three seasons, playing 106 games and scoring twice. He retired in 1981 after experiences with Cesena and Pistoiese.
Frustalupi was short and had a fragile physique but was a talented playmaker, gifted with technique, brain and great tactical intelligence. He wasn't too fast but didn't really need to make much movement and work hard due to his playstyle mostly made of accurate and fast through passes, pinpoint or early crosses. Always present, he missed only six matches during his three-year spell at Lazio. He was the mind of his team, taking charge of all responsibilities, giving everything in the match, ending it exhausted.
