Together with Luigi Riva, he made Cagliari to a top Italian club left him but to the 1969/70 season in the direction of Inter Milan. Henceforth, Riva and Boninsegna formed only in the Italian national team a feared strike partnership. Ironically, 1970 was without Boninsegna Cagliari for the first and only time Italian champion. He shot up to the 92nd Inventory-to-do 1-0 minutes for Italy in the legendary century game between Italy and Germany and moved by the success of 4:3 in the final against Brazil one. Quote:
