Atif is former Croatian defender. He played mainly as central defender, mostly known for his strong and tenacious play, sometimes even violent. He was feared by his rivals because his starts were very "sharp" and dangerous to cause the injuries. He was strong physically and right timed in tackling and interventions in the back line. Born in 1950, played for Lokomotiva Zagreb (1969), Orient Rijeka (1969-72), NK Zagreb (1972-83), Česma from Bjelovar (1984-85) and Vatrogasac from Brezovo (1985-86). Very sturdy, timely at the start, usually "stopper". After a football career he worked as the referee in the national league, in the first league participant since 1986.; Ran in 1992. first final match of the Croatian Cup, Inker Zaprešić - HAŠK Građanski (1: 1) in Zaprešić. He finished his career as the referee in 1998 and since than has been working as the delegate of the Croazian Football Association on the first division matches.
