Formerly striker, the sweeper had good positioning and strength. Strong in aerial battles. Kapsis played throughout his footballing career, from 1969 until 1984, only to Panathinaikos, participating in 319 matches of A National recording five goals in the league and one in Cup. Panathinaikos played for the first time in the period 1970-1971 and made his debut in the game against Everton in London for the European Champions Cup, when the club reached the final of the tournament where they faced Ajax at Wembley. Anthimos Kapsis total participated in 18 European games of Panathinaikos. He came to Panathinaikos in 1969 and was a key member of the large group that reached the final of the Champions League two years later. Not to expect, has been selected in the historic game against Everton and that evening introduced to basic Panathinaikos FC. For 15 years has been the mainstay of the Panathinaikos defense and retired in 1984 winning the doubles with his favorite team. Total won four championships and three Greek Cups. His debut with Greece took place on December 1, 1971 in a home game against England qualifier Cup of Nations 1972. Was the leader of the Greek team that participated in the European Championship 1980 in Italy. With blue and white shirt had a total of 35 appearances. In 1972 he participated in the national armed in qualifying matches for the World Cup 1972 Armed but did not participate in the final phase. In 1970 he played with the National amateur football team in Greece Amateur Cup UEFA to two matches of the qualifying round with Malta and Italy.
