Anatoliy Kozhemyakin was one of the most gifted young strikers in the Soviet Union early 1970s. His name is associated with the most optimistic expectations. However preposterous the tragic death almost at the beginning of his football path (he just turned twenty-one) is not allowed to carry out these hopes.

Powerful, fast, with a sharp starting jerk, brave, aimed at the gate, reminding his daring and effective action of the legendary forwards in the Soviet Union 40-50s, he seemed, appeared in the Moscow "Dynamo" for many years on responsible place a central forward. His skilful actions at the point of attack, constantly kept in tension by the defenders. Cool-headed at the end of the attack, he had developed a sense of the goal, bravely fought with the defenders and already at the start of his football biography had two seriously injured. Harsh, jumpy, he played well head. Tall, slender, with a peculiar technique of handling the ball, makes it easy to trace the rivals and target shot, almost no swing. In the junior European Championships in 1971 he was voted the best player of the tournament, becoming the top scorer of the tournament (7 goals in 5 matches).
